Introductory Camping weekend for people new to cycle touring (and for experienced riders to enjoy an old fashioned camping weekend and pass on their expertise to newcomers.)
Meeting Points:-
Adelaide Railway Station to board the 9:20 AM train to Gawler.
or
Meet the train at the Gawler Central Train Station at 10:20 AM.
Camping Saturday Night in the Kapunda Caravan Park
Enjoy a campfire and sleep under Canvas (Some cabins may be available)
Evening Meal – 3 Choices
Cook your own in the camp
Take away from the local shop
Enjoy a pub meal in one of the 2 local pubs
The ridesTwo leisurely 40 – 45 km dirt/gravel roads to Kapunda on Saturday and return to Gawler on Sunday
Information for beginners about the gear required will be available on the website soon.
If beginners do not have the necessary gear the it
can be begged, borrowed or stolen . Many of our members have old gear

ADELAIDE TOURING CYCLISTS
AND CYCLING FOR PLEASURE GROUP
Note: This Offer Is For Financial Members Of Each Club And Membership Card Must Be Produced At Time Of Booking
Great Southern Rail is pleased to offer the Adelaide Touring Cyclists and the Cycling for Pleasure Group members a fare of $15 for their accompanied bike when travelling on the Overland. The $15 fare is per bike per journey and can be for a packed or unpacked bike, tandems will be the same price. Also $15 fare applies to Broken Hill.
Bookings for guests can be made by calling 132 147 but the special bike offer can only be booked at the Adelaide Parklands Terminal (Keswick). This can be done on day of departure if more suitable.
Guests must show their current financial membership card at the time of booking their bike and fare.
