Peak Oil Philosophy

Regardless of technological breakthroughs and new discoveries short of a miracle we will see the flow of oil that powers the modern world begin a permanent decline.

As public policy should not be based upon wishful thinking we promote the knowledge and discussion of Peak Oil within the South Australian community. We believe that the start of the oil supply decline could be as early as 2007.

A new era in humanity's history is about to begin. Acceptance of this opens the way for the mitigation of some of the pain of the transition period.  Ignoring the changes ahead guarantees unnecessary pain and suffering.

BOSA Peak Oil Policy

Federal, state and local government must look at the evidence and acknowledge and prepare for the problem of a declining world oil supply. Only those who have not looked at the technical and scientific data feel sanguine about the immediate years ahead. Genuine leadership is now strongly required.
