Graham Brookman is a director of The Food Forest, a certified organic farm, food and wine business and learning centre established to test and demonstrate the permaculture design system. He has travelled widely and has worked with the University of Adelaide since 1977.

In winning the title of Australia’s ‘Best Organic Producer’ and the ‘Leadership through sustainable industry’ Award in the South Australian Premier’s Food Awards (twice) the Food Forest directs attention to sustainability in food production and value-adding. Graham teaches in a range of short courses on topics such as Sustainable House Design, Building with Straw Bales and Permaculture Design; he writes technical articles on sustainable food production and undertakes consultancies for families interested in designing sustainable small properties and homes.

He is invited to speak at various conferences and forums about sustainability issues and contributes guest lectures to the University of Adelaide.
