Monday September 08th 2008 Trevor's Midweek Barossa Tour
Mon Sept 8th Meet at Doug & Ruth's place Five Bob Road Woodside for a 0930 departure. Morning coffee Woodside, lunch at Birdwood oval overnight at Talunga Park Caravan Park Mt Pleasant.

Tues Sept 9th Morning coffee at Mt Pleasant, eleven's at Craneford (no shops) with lunch at Tanunda overnight at the Barossa Valley Tourist Park Nuriootpa.
(Total distance for the day 52.0kms)
Weds Sept 10th This will be a pannier free day exploring a part of the Barossa Valley which will include a couple of cellar door stops for the odd wine tasting. Morning coffee will be at Tanunda, lunch at Greenock and returning to Nuriootpa through Seppeltsfield. Staying overnight at the Barossa Valley Tourist Park.

Thurs Sept 11th Morning coffee at Tanunda with lunch at the Lyndoch Bakery overnight at the Queen Victoria Jubilee Park Williamstown.

Fri Sept 12th Ride through Mt Crawford Forest to the Big Rocking Horse Gumeracha for morning coffee, Lunch at Woodside and arrive back at Five Bob Road at around 1600hrs.

This trip will be on a mixture of dirt and bitumen roads and is suitable for Touring Bikes, Hybrids or mountain bikes. The cost is $40.00 per person for 4 campsites there are hotel meals available each night, at your cost, or you can arrange your own. I will need to know by Monday 18th August if you want to participate in the tour and money no later than first thing Mon Sept 8th.

170 km dirt ride over 3 days.
Mostly dirt roads withsome station tracks.
Should be able to pick up water and supplies from Quorn on Sunday.
Camping Track side on Saturday and Sunday Nights.
I have not ridden in this area before but it is not as remote as
previous rides, however riders must be experienced and self
sufficient, carrying own food, water, spares and camping gear etc.

Raelene has organized the Eyre Peninsula part with Jeff and I’m doing the Adelaide side.
This tour is $230.00.
That includes all accommodation, evening meals on 3 nights and cooked breakfast on the rest day. Also the bus back from Wallaroo to Adelaide.
There are hotels at Cowell, Arno Bay, Port Lincoln and Cummins for those who don’t wish to cook and stores to purchase from all towns where food is not provided except Trinity Haven but we can pick up supplies at Tumby Bay.
You will have to pay for the train to Gawler and the ferry to Lucky Bay and back to Wallaroo.
There is a limit of 20 on the tour and it will be suitable for touring bikes although there will be some dirt.

Meet at 6.00 pm at Henley Beach Square (near the Jetty). Distance 30km - Speed Fast / Very Fast; Average of 30kph. To Semaphore and Glenelg and back to Henley Square.
